Yep, it's the very last part of the LoZ/Nutcracker crossover. I have to say I'm fairly pleased with how it turns out; either this part or part three is my favorite, in fact. ^_^ And at least this multi-chapter story worked out better than the first one! *cough* :D And, oh yeah, Merry Christmas!!
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
Part Four
Title: The Nutcracker
Fandoms: Legend of Zelda/Nutcracker
Word Count: 1,123.
Rating: G (for this chapter; PG overall)
Summary: For Winternight, a young girl named Zelda receives a most unusual nutcracker, and adventure soon follows...
Disclaimer: The Legend of Zelda and all associated characters, settings, etc., belong to Shigeru Miyamoto and Nintendo. The Nutcracker is from the book by E. T. A. Hoffman and the ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The only profit I make from this work of fiction is my own satisfaction and, possibly, the enjoyment of others.
Author's Notes: Ah, yes, as for the drabble contest - nobody got both people correct! A couple of people did get one of them - Vio/Purple Link, from Four Swords; the one nobody got was Violet, one of the Seven Maidens, who show up in a few different games. Well, I did say it was obscure. ;)
THE END

pleased
Note that this is the next to last part of the story. The last one is really more of an epilogue than anything else. Also, this part is (at least partially) posted later than I wanted it to be because I'm kind of... not thoroughly pleased with how it turned out. However, I've spent this past week trying to make it better, and I've done as much as I can, so here it is!
Part One. Part Two. Part Three.

Author's Notes: Last chance for the drabble contest! Details in part two, linked above.

Yep, here's the next part! Part one can be found here; part two is here.
Title: The Nutcracker
Fandoms: Legend of Zelda/Nutcracker
Word Count: 1,533.
Rating: PG-13 (for some descriptive violence in this chapter; PG overall)
Summary: For Winternight, a young girl named Zelda receives a most unusual nutcracker, and adventure soon follows...

Author's Notes: Nobody guessed both references correctly, so the drabble contest is still going on! Details are in the Author's Notes to part two, linked above.

Title: The Nutcracker
Fandoms: Legend of Zelda/Nutcracker

Author's Notes: I couldn't find a name for the mother of any Zelda, so I made one up. It's also a reference to two different people in the Zelda canon; first one to correctly identify both people wins a drabble from me. :D
( It was possibly one of the last people she would have expected )

Happy December to you all! I've new fic for you, in a fandom I've never posted anything for before. Don't fret, Godchild fans - I'll return to Cain soon. But the bunny bit and, wouldn't you know it, wouldn't let go until I wrote this? So here we go!

Author's Notes: Can you believe there are no LoZ/Nutcracker crossovers? At least, none that I could find. I intend to rectify this situation. Here's the first of five chapters, to be posted regularly until the end of the month. All are rated G except the third, which is PG-13, so I've upped the overall rating to PG for safety's sake. This is sort of an amalgamation of the book and the ballet, with a big hunk of LoZ mixed in for flavor. Do enjoy.

No fic for the moment, maybe there'll be some soon. But right now RL is kicking my ass. Being busy is one thing, feeling like you're imprisoned from the proverbial 9 to 5 is another. Plus it's draining my writing energy and making me want to draw instead, which is ridiculous since I can't. Creative energy, why you so crazy and misguided? *g* At least my sense of humor's still intact; read: I'm too tired to worry over whether I'm making sense. ^_^;
Perhaps new fic in the next week or so.

Prompt: 080 – Why?
Word Count: 1,171.

Author's Notes/Disclaimer: Count Cain and all associated characters, settings, etc., belong to Yuki Kaori-sensei. The only profit I make from this work of fiction is my own satisfaction and, possibly, the enjoyment of others. Prompt: 028 - Children.
Word Count: 3,046.
Rating: PG (for violent themes)
Summary: Merry and Riff's plan goes into action... but are they in for more than they expected?
Author's Notes/Disclaimer: Count Cain and all associated characters, settings, etc., belong to Yuki Kaori-sensei. The only profit I make from this work of fiction is my own satisfaction and, possibly, the enjoyment of others. Warning: this chapter contains a lot of (possibly mangled) French. If you know French and I've made some horrible mistakes

Title: The Way.
Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Characters: OCs.
Word Count: 632.
Rating: G
Summary: 'That was the Way, and that was Life, and the Way was hard, because Life was hard' - an Air Nomad's reflections.
Disclaimer: Avatar: The Last Airbender and all associated characters, settings, etc., belongs to Mike DiMartino, Bryan Konietzko, and Nickelodeon. The only profit I make from this work of fiction is my own satisfaction and, possibly, the enjoyment of others.
Author's Notes: So when I wrote this, I was trying for a fairy tale-ish style. Don't know how well that turned out, but that was what I was aiming for. Hence the rather vague, repetitive language. Also, I'm not sure if all of this is canon with the Air Nomads' culture - if you know of a more definite source of info, I'd appreciate linkage. ^_^

Author's Notes/Disclaimer: Count Cain and all associated characters, settings, etc., belongs to Yuki Kaori-sensei. Prompt: 071 - Broken.
Word Count: 1,097.
Rating: G
Summary: "'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome/And I don't feel right when you're gone away."
Author's Notes/Disclaimer: Count Cain and all associated characters, settings, etc., belongs to Yuki Kaori-sensei. The only profit I make from this work of fiction is my own satisfaction and, possibly, the enjoyment of others. Title and summary from the song "Broken" by Seether, which also doesn't belong to me. Despite what you may be thinking, no spoilers (unless you haven't read "Sound of a Boy Hatching" from Cain Saga Volume 2, from which coincidentally comes all the dialogue).

Title: One Tequila, Two Tequila...
Fandom: Count Cain.
Characters: Cain, Riff.
Prompt: 060 - Drink.
Word Count: 163.
Rating: G
Summary: ...three tequila, floor.
Author's Notes/Disclaimer: Count Cain and all associated characters, settings, etc., belongs to Yuki Kaori-sensei. The only profit I make from this work of fiction is my own satisfaction and, possibly, the enjoyment of others. This is a blatant case of taking the prompt too literally - and yes, there really is a Marquess of Hartington - apparently Cain runs in high social circles. :)
